The Secret to Patience : You COPPERATE with God! God's part it to provide the CIRCUMSTANCE, your part is to provide the RESPONSE!

Three Things will help you respond with patience:

    1.  Discover a bigger perspective

Proverbs 19:11 -  A man's wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense.

    2.  Deepen you Love:

When you are filled with love, almost nothing will irritate you.  But when you are filled anger, almost anything will irritate.

    3.  Depend on Jesus' Power:

Colossians 1:11 - We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need.                                               May you be filled with joy

Four Lessons from the Good Samaritan (Luke 10: 30-35):

     1.  Start seeing the needs of people around us.

Kindness begins with the eyes.  Why don't we see the wounds of the people around us?  To be kinder person, you must SLOW DOWN!

Luke 10:33 - A Samaritan traveling the road came on him.  When he SAW the man's condition, his heart went out to him.

        2.  Sympethize with people's pain.

               Sympathy begins with the ears.

Luke 10:33 - When he saw him, his heart was FILLED WITH PITY....

Romans 12:15 - Weep with those who weep....

     3.  Seize the moment.

The Good Samaritan did what he could with what he had at that particular moment.

Proverbs 3:27 - Never walk away from someone who deserves help; your hand is God's handg for that person.

Proverbs 3:28 - Never tell your neighbors to wait until tomorrow if you can help them now.

To be a kinder person like the Good Samaritan:

                     a) You must be willing to be interrupted

                     b) You must be willing to take risk

     4.  Spend whatever it takes.

There is always a cost to kindness.

Luke 10:34-35 - The he put the man on his own donkey and took hime to an inn, where he took care of him.

The next day he handed the innkeeper two silver coins, telling him, 'Take care of this man.

If his bill runs higher than this, I'll pay you the next time I'm here.'

Kindness is doing something for somebody without expecting anything in return.
